living with an alcoholic

Just come back from hols well me and the boys this was to give her a break from them and to give her a chance to stop drinking.
Did it work? well er no even on holiday when we phoned up at night to say nite nite to the baby i still got abuse over the phone some nights.
We came home the other day and every thing was going good untill a day later then the it started first the abuse and the dreaded sound of the first can opening things soon got back to normal only the abuse and slaging me off has got worst than before but at least she has not hit me or threaten to fist me or knife me yet.
You see the baby isn't mine but i bring her up as mine. she have an affair two years ago.
But when things get bad she some times brings up the fact that the baby is not mine and one night about a month ago when she had been drinking she told me who the dad is! I have never wanted to know this and she knew this but she couldn't help telling me just to stick the knife in.
This realy hurt so i just went out for a drive i just wish i never came back that night.

Yep it is weekend again as if that has any thing to do with it when you live with an alcoholic.
you know from the first sip of the beer or you hear the can open there is going to be trouble ahead the day has been good but THEN it starts.
Some times it is only shouting or slaging me off, but weekends it can get worst a lot worst.
I just wish she would go sometimes, i would but the house is in my name and what about the children? just fed up of being verbally abused and sometimes hit.
In the week it is easy to escape cos i have to get up early in the morning so i just go to bed early.
Dont get me wrong she is great with the kids beer or no beer.
god i bloody hate alcohol and what it does.
She only drinks at night some times and is trying to stop honest.
I could go on about what she has done in the past but i think this is enongh for now.
